‘’Forest Fairy’’ is an Edwardian style sweater inspired in beautiful nature - with slightly puffy, rouched shoulders and bishop sleeves with long cuffs.
It’s knitted seamlessly, bottom up and in the round until you reach the underarms, where you start knitting the front and the back flat.

The sleeves are also knitted in the round until the underarms, then you cast off the required number of stitches for the armholes and knit the shoulder cap flat whilst doing the decreases at the beginning of each row.

It is size inclusive and you will see tips on how to get larger sizes with longer or shorter sleeves to ensure a proper fit for every body shape and size or personal preference.

It is meant to fit sizes S/M/L/XL/2XL/3XL with a bust circumference of 85-85/90-95/95-100/100-105/110-120/130-145 cm with approx. 10-25cm/4-10 inches positive ease.
Chest measurements lying flat are 47-52-55-58-65-78 cm or approx. 18.5-20.4-21.6-22.8-25-30 inches from armpit to armpit.

The gauge is 26x32 sts in a 10x10 cm blocked square, you can downsize your needles if you can’t meet the gauge.

Length from shoulder to ribbing:
56-58-60-62-64-66 cm or approx. 22-22.8-23.6-24.4-25.2-26 inches

If knitting with the recommended yarn, bear in mind that a wool and cotton blend isn’t as elastic as 100% wool, so your sweater won’t be form fitting.
The sweater has positive ease, so it was designed to sit loosely on the body. If you don’t want that, pick a more suitable yarn in the same weight.

Blocking will make the sweater slightly bigger, that’s another thing to remember when choosing your size depending on the fit you want.

If you want to knit a bigger size without altering the number of pattern repeats, you can use DK yarn and the corresponding needle size.

Yarn used is Mayflower Cotton Merino, a machine washable cotton and superwash merino blend, but you can find lots of alternatives in the same weight (sport/fine).

The pattern includes charts, photos and written instructions.
