Forest Garden
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Forest Garden is a tank top, embellished with i-cord double straps, beautiful front panel and a striking all-over lace back. It is inspired by the lush greenery in the forest, winding branches covered with soft moss and small flowers poking under the trees.
The top is knitted in the round, bottom up to the armholes then split into front and back and knitted flat up to the straps. It features a deep round neckline and a similar, deeper round back.
The construction provides for a small to normal amount of ease of approx. 5-8 cm / 2-3.15 in.
YARN:
The pattern is intended for a DK cotton/silk blend to provide maximum “summer” feeling together with a beautiful drapery. It is highly recommended to also use yarn, providing for good stitch definition.
Yarn requirements per size with recommended yarn:
200 (200, 250, 250, 250, 300, 300, 300, 350) gr
TECHNIQUE:
The pattern includes both charts and written instructions for these to facilitate knitting the top by all types of knitters. The lace at the back is an easy repeat suitable for beginners. The front panel includes some cables and more advance stitches without being too challenging. The straps are formed by working i-cord tubes. All these stitches and techniques are duly explained.
The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters and/or adventurous beginners, used to knitting in the round and following lace charts/instructions.
