Forest Gnome Hat
Quite a few years ago I bought a book of baby hats, filled with fun shapes, quirky pointy tops, long stocking caps. The patterns were all made for worsted weight yarns, and there wasn’t a gnome hat exactly, but in general, those hats were the inspiration for me to make a super bulky perfect gnome shaped hat. There are lots of patterns out there, but I really wanted one that was knit in the round with one-by-one rib brim, in a wide range of sizes- there are 5 sizes here ranging from baby to xl adult. I feel like an illustration out of my grandmother’s Finnish story books every time I leave the house in my green version of this hat.
