Forest Mist is a bias triangle shawl with sophisticated simplicity. It’s a relaxing knit with garter stitch and simple lace. Perfect for unwinding after a long day.
You work the shawl diagonally, with increases on one edge and decreases on the other. Make yours in a single colour of worsted weight yarn, or have fun choosing your colour combo.
YARN
Two colours of The Fibre Co. Cumbria (90% wool, 10% mohair; 216 m / 236 yds per 100 g), one skein of both colours. Shown in colours Hadrian’s Wall (C1) and St. Bees Beach (C2).
Or similar worsted-weight yarn.
AMOUNT OF YARN
Colour 1 (C1): 205 m / 225 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 185 m / 200 yds
NEEDLES
Size 5 mm / US 8 circular needle
Always adjust needle size to obtain pattern gauge. Gauge affects the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using an 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
FINISHED SIZE After blocking
Width: 188 cm / 74 in
Depth: 86 cm / 34 in
