Forestry Cowl
The rainforest building at the local zoo is full of wonderful colours and textures, not least of which are the moss growths on the rocks and a curtain of vines cascading from the ceiling down to the water level.
The lace and texture patterns used in this cowl are named after these two features of the created habitat and can be found in forests across the globe.
This design uses only 50g (gauge/yardage dependant) of DK weight yarn and knits up quickly. It would make a lovely gift for someone.
Matching fingerless mitts and a hat pattern are also available separately and all three can be purchased in the Forestry Collection e-book.
This pattern will soon also be available in kit form through The Loop, Kensington, Calgary.
