Forever Young Shawl
As always in my pattern designs, I hope to introduce the knitter to a new technique with instructions clear enough for the person using the technique for the first time. This shawl has lace and a slipped stitch design. It also ends with Leedra’s Edge and Bind Off, which combines a beautiful neck edge with just a few stitches grafted together using the kitchener stitch.
Because of the slipped stitch design this shawl shows the best with two very contrasting colors then tie the colors together with a variegated yarn that incorporates the two contrasting colors.
If you are using The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze Peppino you should have 2 skeins each of 3 colors.
This shawl begins at the bottom with a lace design. Then after a small garter stitch section there is a slipped stitch design. After the slipped stitch design the shawl decreases in size and ends with Leedra’s Edge and Bind Off.
I named this shawl in honor of my sweet daughter, Wendy Young.
