Forget Me Never Shawl
This shawl is mainly composed of a pretty shell stitch which gives a lovely texture if left unblocked, or a lacy effect when blocked. It is up to you which effect to opt for and the pictures illustrate both blocked and unblocked versions of the shawl. I have recommended 150g of sock weight / 4ply yarn because this is worked on a relatively small hook for a shawl, to give the close texture in the unblocked version. I have made 100g versions and they are wearable but do need to be blocked to make them a comfortable size to wear, and are still more of a shawlette size. 150g of yarn gives a good sized shawl, and of course you could make it larger if you desire.
The pattern does not follow the normal conventions for setting up a triangular shawl and so do read and follow the pattern exactly as it has been written. Each row is slightly asymmetric but it balances out across the repeats as the shawl grows.
A nice, mediative shawl, and a good stash buster!
