This cowl pattern is influenced by one of the most well known architectural principles.
The pattern uses three different stitch patterns to create sections of different elasticity and texture. The different sections serve different functional purposes – the mid section is knit in k1/p1 rib to provide optimum stretchiness so that the cowl hugs the neck closely. The upper/outer section is knit in half-brioche which draws in less than the ribbed section and therefore fits nicely over it without having to change the stitch count. The yoke section is raglan-shaped and knit in stockinette stitch to fit smoothly underneath any jacket.

The pattern gives 3 sizes: S (child), M (small adult), L (large adult).
Yardage needed: 120 yd, 230 yd, 330 yd.
The cowl is very stretchy, so each of the three sizes will cover a large range of sizes.

Dieser Halswärmer wird von einem der bekanntesten Architekturprinzipien beeinflusst.
Das Muster besteht aus drei verschiedenen Strickmustern, um Bereiche mit unterschiedlicher Elastizität und Struktur zu erzielen. Die drei Bereiche haben dementsprechend unterschiedliche Funktionen – der obere/äußere Teil ist im Halbpatent gestrickt, weil sich dies weniger zusammenzieht und sich der Cowl damit bei gleicher Maschenzahl schön umlegen lässt. Der mittlere Teil wird im 1re/1li Rippenmuster gestrickt, damit sich der Cowl gut an den Hals anschmiegt. Die Passe hat Raglanschrägen und wird glatt rechts gestrickt, um gut unter jede Jacke zu passen.
