Fortissimus was inspired based on the Championship win of one of our fellow drivers. “Fortissimus” is latin for Champion. We struggled the second half of the season and he rallied to make it happen. We are so proud of him, and I decided to make these in his honor!

The samples were knit in Bello Worsted and Snug Worsted both in The Plucky Knitter yarns but could easily be subbed out with another worsted weight yarn. I’m generally a tight knitter, so don’t be surprised if after a swatch you find you need to move up to 5’s and 7’s. The lace panel does stretch a decent amount, so the mitts will also appear quite narrow at first but a good blocking should straighten them out!
