Fortrose Cowl
Crocheted double loop cowl, made with super chunky yarn, using rib-effect stitching. This free pattern is available as a PDF download in UK terms and US terms.
Fortrose is in the North of Scotland, and the colours reflect the stones on the pebble beach; sit there and watch the dolphins play
Size: 14cm wide; 140cm long
Yarn: 2 x 100g ball King Cole Big Value Super Chunky Tints (Shade 2054 Neptune)
Hook: 10mm
Stitches: Treble crochet (tr); front raised treble crochet (frtr)
Pattern:
• Using 10mm hook, chain 7 stitches, plus 3 for turning chain
• Please note that the turning chain WILL count as a stitch
• Row 1: Starting in 3rd chain from hook, treble crochet (tr) into each chain until the end. This will give you 8 stitches, counting the turning chain (8 stitches). Chain 3 and turn
• Row 2: Front raised treble into each stitch to the end, including the turning chain from the previous row. (8 stitches). Chain 3 and turn
• Repeat Row 2 until desired length
