Fortuny
Inspired by the elegant Delphos dresses of Fortuny Venezia, with their secret pleating techniques and block-printed silk belts, this stole makes excellent use of two skeins of fingering weight yarn with virtually no finishing work. Fortuny Stitch evokes the organic motifs that were hand-printed on the sashes for each dress, while Ribbon Rib brings to mind the pleats, which are a hallmark of Fortuny dresses.
You will need approximately 800 to 830 yards of a fingering weight yarn to complete the project as written. Note that the lace patterns are presented in charted form only.
