‘Forum Romanum’ is a casual jumper made in lightweight tweed yarn by Rowan. A coloured yoke with distinct pattern is worked using stranded knitting technique. Fun to make and easy to wear this piece can be a staple in any wardrobe, something to throw on when temperatures dip.
Forum Romanum sweater is made in few steps. First the body is knitted bottom up and to the armholes, then provisional cast on is used to cast on sts for sleeves. After that yoke is made. Sleeves are worked at the end and top down, which makes it easy to adjust length to personal needs.
There are few short rows to raise the yoke at the back and to shape the neckline. A video tutorial link for German short rows technique is provided.
It is recommended to swatch colour work pattern, and if necessary to change the needle to keep the gauge correct.
Model in the pictures wears size S on 31” chest.
