Fossefall | Waterfall
Waterfall - English below.
Garn
Bruk ca 400-600 meter garn i hver farge i fingering-sport weight garn / tynt-eller litt tykkere sokkegarn (100 gram / 425-350 m) for å få en grei størrelse.
Bruk to farger med god kontrast.

Waterfall Shawl
After the long, dark months of winter there is a sound that unmistakeably marks the approaching daylight, the Earths’s awakening and the coming of spring. This is the sound of snow melting and the water that flows down the mountain side into the forest stream. This sound of water flowing down the mountain side, here in Norway is a sign to us all - that the grey, cold, dark days of winter will soon be over and replaced by the greenest, green of spring. The Waterfall shawl design is a reflection of this beautiful sound, this movement of water from the melting snow during this time of year. This idea and this design was inspired by this movement of water, falling down the side of the mountains here close to my home.
My knitting philosophy is that each knitter should decide how to use their knitting time to create a knitted piece that suits their own purpose. This is why, when I design my patterns, I allow room for changes and personal modifications. Choose your own yarn weight, your own colours and knit the shawl as large or as small as you like.
This a triangular shawl, knit sideways. It is easy to adjust the size to your preference.
This is an easy-to-knit two-colour brioche project. A perfect shawl for a first-time brioche knitter, and equally a perfect mindless knit for the experienced brioche knitter.
Yarn - You will need 400 to 600 meters of fingering or sport weight yarn, in each colour, to complete this project. For a total of 800 to 1200 meters, which is recommended to create an average size shawl.
It is recommended that you choose high contrasting colours when selecting your yarn for this pattern. However, if you choose yarns with very little contrast then the motif within this pattern is most visually pleasing when the lightest colour choice is used for Colour 1.
This shawl has been test knit in different yarn weights and quantities. From 300 meters to 425 meters per 100 grams with 200 grams to 370 grams of meterage used.
The wingspan varies from 145 cm to approximately 195 cm in length and 90 cm to 118 cm in depth.
The pattern has been test knit and tech edited for clarity of use.
