The Fossil Beanie was inspired by my love of dinosaurs, and the cable stitch brings to mind a rib cage like you’d find on your favorite dinosaur skeleton. Despite the morbid description, the hat looks quite lovely!

This pattern comes in 4 sizes: Worsted, Bulky, Malabrigo Noventa, and Super Bulky.

30% of sales from this hat will be donated to A Rocha, an organization that responds to the global crisis of biodiversity loss by carrying out community-based conservation projects. I especially value their emphasis on local wisdom and cross-cultural collaboration.
