Fossveien Vinter is a unisex sweater with cables and colorwork. It is knit bottom up with sleeves that are sewn in. You start with knitting the body and each sleeve separately. You then steek the sides to make room for the sleeves, sew the shoulders together and sew in the sleeve before you pick up stitches along the neckline and knit the collar that is folded double.

Allow yourself 3-10 cm/1-4 inches ease.

NB! As this is a unisex sweater the recommended body and sleeve length is a little longer that the standard women’s size. The pattern will tell you where it is best to adjust length.

Gauge: 16 sts x 18 rounds on 10 cm/4 inches stockinette.

Needle size: 5.5 mm (US 9) and 4.5 mm (US 7) for rib, or the size you need to meet gauge.

If you are unsure what needle you should use, make a swatch. Some need to go up a needle size while knitting colorwork.

Rauma Finull (175 m on 50 g) held doubled with Rauma Alpakka Lin (175 m on 50 g)

Tip: You may change the yarn for an aran or worsted weight yarn or whatever you please as long as you hit gauge.
