“Fotiniya” is a classic shawl shaped in two triangles left and right from the central line. Body is worked flat seamlessly from a basic tab down to the borders, featuring the lace stitch pattern with the beautiful floral motifs.

Skill Level: Intermediate, although the pattern is beginner friendly.

Original yarn: 45 g of Laines Du Nord Poema Mohair in gradient (ombre) color, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, 420 m (459 yds) per 50 g skein.

Alternative yarn: Emma’s Yarn Marvelous Mohair, 72% kid mohair, 28% silk, 420 m (459 yds) per 50 g skein; Rowan Kidsilk Haze Colour, 70% kid mohair, 30% silk , 420 m (459 yds) per 50 g skein.

Circular knitting needles US 7 (4.5 mm) 40” (100 cm) length cable.

Notions: some waste yarn; stitch markers and sewing pins.

Total amount of yarn depends on your personal knitting gauge as well as on the needle size you choose. You also might want to choose any other yarn and/or adjust the size of your shawl while following the Charts etc.
