Regarding yarn weight and gauge of the pattern: “Any worsted-weight or DK-weight wool that will felt should yield the correct proportions, no matter your tension. The lighter weight yarns will create less bulky flowers.” (quote comes from the pattern notes on page 29 of Felt It!)
