For this pattern I used fingering weight craft thread with a WPI of 22. I used a size B (2.25mm) hook with it.

You are of course welcome to use heavier yarn with larger hooks, with the overall measurement being bigger.

If using weight 3 yarn, I recommend a size F hook.

If using weight 4 yarn, I recommend a size G hook.
