Four Winds Afghan
by Julie Yeager
Four Winds Afghan, formerly our MysteryGhan 2021, consists of four distinct patterns combined into a fun and inspiring crochet experience. My palette was inspired by sun-drenched seaside vacation photos The four mandalas in overlay technique could stand alone but are squared up and form our first strip. Two easy and rhythmic stitch patterns are added on either side, the Harlequin stitch, which is a fun squared-up version of the Catherine Wheel stitch, goes on one side, and the Larksfoot pattern on the other. The border and transition strips are added in black and white.
