These cute fox and wolf themed cowls have ribbed welts with a rolled edge at the top and bottom and a stocking stitch body with a stranded colourwork fox or wolf repeat pattern encircling the body of the cowl. Alternatively you could add one motif to the finished cowl using Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) as shown in the pictures. The cowls pictured are worked using a lovely wool acrylic mix yarn in DK/light worsted weight on 4mm/US6 needles.

The pattern covers sizes to fit toddlers, children and teens/adults. The instructions are written for knitting in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary with notes for knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back.

The cowls would make a lovely set with my Fox and Wolf Hats pattern, see last two photos.
