Gauge for this isn’t important, so long as a tight weave is achieved, you can simply add or subtract stitches and rows to make it suit your own needs. Or using a thicker/thinner wool and different needles.

Materials wise, less than 50g of each colour is needed. A button for the nose is a must, but they eyes can be changed for something else. A D ring is necessary if you plan to hook it to something else, like your rucksack or satchel.
