The head and body of this scarf are knitted flat, and the tail is knit in the round.

Terms Used
K: Knit
P: Purl
Cable 3 back: Slide the next three stitches to cable needle, hold to back, and knit the next three on your knitting needle then knit the cable stitches.
K1bf: This is a M1 stitch. After knitting a stitch, don’t drop it from your needle, but knit into the back loop of the stitch to make one. Then drop the stitch as usual. Now you should have two stitches in the place of one.
K2tog: Knit two stitches together like they are one.
P2tog: Purl two stitches together like they are one.
Psso: Pass a slipped stitch over another, indicated stitch

This pattern comes in one size. You can make it longer or shorter depending on how long you cable.

You will need:

1. 220 yards/100g of worsted weight yarn to make one scarf.
2. A little white and brown worsted weight yarn for the nose (about 10 yards of each)
3. Cable needle if you are cabling the back of your fox.
4. Four 4.5mm knitting needles (body is flat but tail is knit in the round)
5. One small piece of worsted weight scrap yarn to hold the ear stitches
6. A mild obsession for foxes.
7. Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

The head for the small size fox : 4 inches from nose to right near the ears, by 3.5 inches when measured right across the eyes.

To let you know, the fox head is a little smaller then my hand with all my fingers held together if this makes more sense then inches does! I have medium size hands.
