The name of the hat came from the colourway of the handpainted 100% Baby Alpaca yarn I used to create the sample, however you may choose any bulky weight yarn you prefer working with.
While the shaping is similar to that of a beret it also makes a roomy slouchy hat based on how you choose to style it which makes it a versatile edition to your wardrobe.
The ribbing allows a bit of stretch so the sizing is forgiving and will fit an older child to the average adult woman’s head despite this being a one size only pattern.

It used an entire 100m skein so please ensure if you think you might be playing yarn chicken to get an extra ball, just in case.
I’ve never regretted an extra ball of yarn whether I needed it or not.
