Note: Begin the yoke using shorter circular needle, then change to longer circular needles as the circumference increases.

Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 7 stitch markers (including two unique, one for beginning of round and one for back of neck), 4 locking stitch markers, additional locking stitch markers or scrap yarn for marking button positions, 11 (or preferred quantity) buttons 1.5cm / 5/8”, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Note: If you also wish to place markers between repetitions of the colourwork charts you will need a further 12 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) stitch markers.
Notes: Foxthoughts is a steeked-front cardigan knit from the top down with a circular colourwork yoke. The front button bands feature a tidy self-faced steek edge (using a modified version of the TechKnitter method).
The yarn is held double throughout; the seamless colour changes are made by marling, i.e changing the colours of the held-together strands on each row. The colourwork charts are worked with “MC” and “CC; each of these will be made up of 2 strands of yarn in different colour combinations. Refer to the colour key for the row by row colour changes. Alternatively, choose your own colour combinations.
