MATERIALS

This hooded cowl was made using LION BRAND YARNS Heartland 100% acrylic yarn, weight: Medium 4 (5 oz / 142 g / 251 yd / 230 m) x 3.

CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW

The cowl is worked in the round. It combines half double crochet stitches (worked in front loops and back loops) and wrapped double crochet stitches. The wrapped double crochet stitches are explained in detail and include how-to-photos, just in case you are not familiar with them.

The cowl’s hood is crocheted onto the cowl and consists of half double crochet stitches.

You should be familiar with hdc and sc decreases.
