Here’s the perfect first hat pattern! If you’ve been wanting to try out a hat, but are afraid of knitting a perfect crown, then this is the hat for you. Even if you are experienced, who doesn’t love a quick knit project like this? Besides all of that….EARS!

Why is my Fox Hat pattern so awesome, and why is it so different from the other patterns already out there? I’m so glad you asked!

There are no increasing or decreasing stitches to learn.

There is no changing needle size.

The hat is closed up by making one simple seam.

I designed this hat with super bulky weight yarn, so it’s a fast knit.

It’s pretty much the ideal first time knit-in-the-round hat pattern.

Just because it’s easy, doesn’t mean you won’t want to make it again and again!

You’ll need one skein of craft store yarn, Lion Brand Thick and Quick to be exact. If you want to make a pom pom nose, which I recommend, then you’ll want something in a contrasting color worsted weight to make that. I also suggest Pom Pom makers, but they aren’t absolutely necessary.
