Inspired by artwork based on fractals and my love for interesting, layered stitch combinations, this shawl’s shape reminds me of the new fronds of ferns as they open from a coiled position.

Make yourself a glamorous, year-round accessory (in a warm but breathable yarn) that not only draws attention to your impressive crafting skills wherever you wear it, but is also a “just one more row, oh well maybe another…” project. The contrast bands in the body are a great motivator as you work across the length, and the border includes such a delightful range of fun techniques that you can’t get bored. You are definitely going to want to reach that last curlicue and see it develop as you add the stitches!
