For an “adventurous beginner” (or experience levels above), this pattern is an easy-to-knit project. It involves in-the-round work and twisted stitches, so if you are a beginner to knitting and would like to venture out into new territories, this pattern is a good one for you.
Pattern updated on 10/21/2024. I’ve had a couple of people say the gauge was off - in my testing no one had mentioned this was an issue, but for a few people I guess it was. My math did seem a little off, so I made a couple of small adjustments. (To be fair: I, personally, am I a tight knitter, so it could be that it was off because of that.)
Although the pattern is described as “snug”, I suppose the definition of that word is different to the individual. For me, I’ve done many glove patterns that have wrist shaping, and they are always constrictive to me. After wearing them for a while, they would begin to itch at the wrist. I prefer a looser wrist - but not baggy - which is why it relies on the ribbing on the back side to handle the shaping. If you prefer a more shaped item with a tighter fit, I hope the pattern is simple enough to allow to make that kind of adjustment. :)
Unisex (looks good on either men or women), warm, and very forgiving in size. A pretty quick knit, and a nice return on your investment.
Note: If you need to contact the designer for any reason, feel free to PM here on Ravelry. I’m not on as often as I’d like to be, but I’m happy to help when I can.
