This cardigan is knit top-down with DK weight wool. The colorful stripes in the yoke are knit one wedge at a time while each new wedge is modularly attached to the previous wedge. The contrast colors continue down the sides of the cardigan. This pattern is perfect for showcasing single skeins and leftover bits of DK weight yarn. Customize the cuffs with color and add afterthought pockets to complete this playful geometric cardigan design.

Size 5 shown with about 8″ / 15cm of positive ease. I recommend selecting a size that is about 4 – 8″ / 10 – 20cm larger than your actual chest circumference for a relaxed fit.

The smaller sizes feature fewer Contrast Colors (CC) in the Yoke. I recommend knitting 6 (6, 6, 7, 8) (8, 8. 8, 8) stripes in each wedge of the Yoke, so you will need 6 (6, 6, 7, 8) (8, 8. 8, 8) CC’s for the garter stitch yoke stripes.
