Francie Socks
I love reading almost as much as I love knitting, and these socks were inspired by the main character of the book I’m currently reading called A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
The twisted stitches in this pattern remind me of the way authors weave together characters, stories and events so skilfully. Francie socks are a fun and easy pattern to knit and the twisted rib ensures a super cozy fit too!
So grab a skein of pretty yarn, a tea or coffee, your favourite book, and cast on with me!
These socks are knit cuff down, in the round. The pattern is written for double-pointed needles, but can be adapted for magic loop or knitting on circular needles.
The pattern includes lace and cable work and is perfect for experienced beginner knitters all the way to expert sock knitters!
I hope knitting these socks will bring you as much joy as it did for me!
