Francisco Cowl is a easy breezy bandana cowl, a no fuss solution to small lacy shawls you can never keep on your neck the way you want them to. This polka dot cowl with garter stitch details can be knit in wool for a cozier feel, or in cotton for a true summer accessory. Either way, I’m sure you’ll want one in every color!

Finished Size: 23” around at top, 4 ½” long at back, and 12” long at front.

Yarn: Knit Picks Hawthorne Kettle, 80% Superwash Fine Highland Wool, 20% Polyamide; 357yds/100g: 1 hank Serpent Kettle Dye.

Yarn: Knit Picks Comfy Fingering, 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic; 218yds/50g: 1 ball Peapod.

Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ (cir). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in Eyelet Polka Dot pattern.

Notes: Bandanna is worked in the round then split and worked flat for front shaping. Center garter stitch panel gets larger as you kit, so be sure to work new stitches into established garter stitch pattern.
