Material Requirements

The French bulldog that has been crocheted for this pattern, was made using a yarn called-
Yarnart jeans in the following colours.

light brown, approx 80g
Grey approx 50g
White approx 30g
Charcoal approx 20g
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 24mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).

This yarn is a 4ply/sport/fine 2 weight. You can use any weight yarn for this pattern it will just give a larger finished size.

Size
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a dog roughly measuring
30cm/12 inches measured from the Tail tip to nose.
13cm/ 6 inches from side to side .
27cm/ 10.5 inches from feet to the tip of the ears

sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc= half double
trc = treble crochet
inc= increase
dec= decrease
Sl st= slip stitch
rnd= round

If you are planning to make your dog in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches.
I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
