This is a pattern for an ornately cabled shawl.

This shawl is knitted with sport weight. The shawl is approximately 22 1/2 inches x 74 inches. Both the The focal cable stitch and the side cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney.

The stitches are both charted and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling.)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.

This pattern was expertly tested by Teddi Sherrill who can be reached at: tms808 !at gmail.com and was knit using Handmaiden, Fleece Artist’s BFL Sport and requires approximately 1200 - 1350 yards to make the shawl as shown.
