This cosy dog jumper is knitted with super chunky/bulky weight yarn (2 x 100g) and a pair of 10mm knitting needles. The back is worked in a “V” shape, starting at the “tail-end”, finishing with the collar, all in one piece.

The front is worked by picking up stitches from each shoulder edge of back and is also worked in a “V” shape. The pattern is garter stitch (every row knit). With a decorative knit stitch in the centre.

The photos illustrate the jumper made with Chunky Ombre, a yarn obtained from Pound Stretcher or Bargain Buys in the UK. At time of publishing this pattern (February 2023) the yarn was also available online from fabfinds.co.uk.
Although it is called chunky I would say it is more of a super chunky or bulky weight yarn.
A basic knitting skill level is required, (a knowledge of cast on, knit, purl, decreasing, increasing, yarn over needle and casting off).

Three sizes explained from 14 to 16 inch chest circumference to 22 to 24 inches.
