Repeat after me: I solemnly swear that all Elves made with this pattern will be free to stand FREE on their own two, well-socked feet - they shall be there own master!

Now that we’ve cleared that up, I want to begin by thanking you for downloading this pattern. If you follow me on social media @bumble_and_be, you will know that, like Walt and Mickey, my Wizarding-World-crochet journey all began with an Elf. It was the
first full pattern that I designed from scratch, and the reason for this is quite simple: I couldn’t find one that felt authentic.

I wanted proper hands; detailed face shaping and eyes that sing to your soul like Dobby when he sees odd socks. At the risk of sounding like I’ve stolen Lockhart’s ego; I like to think I’ve come up with a keeper! It is one of my most highly requested patterns, and I
know people who have adopted multiple Bumble & Be ‘beasties’ say that their Elf has something extra magical about them.

By setting this pattern free into the world, my hope is that this magic can spread even further!

This DIGITAL Pattern is INTERMEDIATE LEVEL. Skills needed include:
• Crocheting in the round, using both a “magic ring” and foundation chain.
• Crocheting rows (ears) and short rows in the round (socks)
• Basic sewing to join the ears, head and socks.

The PDF includes text and photos, along with a yarn guide - this will suggest the ideal hook/yarn/eye combination, so your elf is in proportion! It also means that you can crochet them in DK/Aran or Chunky, so it is very adaptable. The pattern has also been tested by a group of fellow WitchCrafters, so I have every faith that it is “maker-worthy”. However, if you do have any questions, please don’t hesitate to message me.

This pattern is here for you to create your own cuddly creatures, or perhaps make one as a gift! I would also love to see your finished creations, so please tag me on social media @bumble_and_be and hashtag #TheSPEWCrew.

However, this pattern is for PERSONAL use, so finished Elves are NOT TO BE LISTED FOR COMMERCIAL SALE. The pattern should also not be redistributed or reproduced.
