Opt for a cake yarn - the color changes will add more visual interest to the simple stitches. The drapey yarn turns any excessive width into length while the scalloped fringed edge makes this garment look quite dynamic and proportional.

This project can be crocheted while watching TV once you get accustomed to the stitches.

What else makes this garment a win-win for any crocheter (but not for any yarn seller :)) is that it’s not a yarn eater! You will need just 1140 yards for the size S-M, length 63.5 cm = 25’’ - sample shown; and it’s slightly more than one ball of Scheepjes whirl. For the size 4XL-5XL and the same length you will need 1835 yards - less than two balls of Scheepjes whirl.

Length of body and sleeves is adjustable. The sample shown is 63.5 cm (25’’) long from shoulders to last stitch (excluding fringe).

This crochet sweater is provided for sizes:

S-M to fit bust and hips from 90 to 102 cm (35-40’’);
L-XL-2XL to fit bust and hips from 108 to 122 cm (42-48’’);
2XL-3XL-4XL to fit bust and hips from 126 to 140 cm (49-55’’);
4XL-5XL to fit bust and hips from 144 to 160 cm (56-63’’).

Suitable yarn: cotton/bamboo, cotton/rayon, cotton/acrylic, cotton/silk 4 ply (UK), Fingering-weight, 1 or Superfine (USA); 350-420 m in 100 gr (380-460 yards in 3.5 oz).
