This stole is a nod to Bolt by Vera Välimäki.

The basic pattern is a simple garter stitch. You start knitting a triangle with the main color. The increase is achieved by knitting back and front (or knitting into the stitch of the row before) at the beginning of each row.

For the second part of the stole you pick up stitches on one side of the triangle with a second color. For this part very simple short rows and intarsia in the third color are added for spice.

The final part of the stole is done in the third color with stripes in the first color. In this part it’s recommendable to carry the yarn, so you don’t have to weave in too many ends.

As a friend of mine put it: This stole is exciting to knit throughout, because as soon as you get bored, the pattern changes!

So, happy knitting!
