This beautiful and warm poncho for cooler days is knit from the top down similar to a raglan top-down sweater, first worked in the round on circular needle, then worked in 2 pieces.

This poncho showcases a lovely, textured oaken leaf pattern and double seed stitch pattern that is sure to catch your eye.
Shown in Charisma YarnArt (218 yds (200 m)/ 3.52 Oz (100g)).
Finished Measurements: circumference at the neck 24.4” (62 cm) circumference at the bottom 78.7” (200 cm) in length, and 24.4” (62 cm) length.
Gauge:
When you use needle size 5.5 mm (9 US) 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”) = 18 stitches and 26 rows in Double seed stitch pattern.
This pattern could easily be made with fingering to worsted weight yarn. By simply adding more repeats of the charts you can make poncho as large as you wish.
Pattern includes charts and explanation of all the methods used: reading charts, basic decreases (ssk; k2tog; ssp; p2tog; sl 1, k2tog, psso), increase M1. The oaken leaf pattern is easy to memorize. The leaf tips are the hardest part, but the pictures helped a lot (according to testers). The written instruction is a step by step instruction how to make an poncho.
Please note: the stitch pattern in this poncho is charted only.
Each chart is shown where it fit in the pattern and on its own page.
