Design and construction

This flowering, little cardigan has ribbed edges, lace-pattern over the lower body, and a centred lace-motif above the cuffs.
The cardigan is knit bottom-up, and the construction is seamless
The lower body is worked bottom-up and back and forth to underarms.
The sleeves are worked bottom-up and in-the-round to underarms. Sleeves and body are joined and upper body is worked in one piece with regular raglan-decreases. Stitches are picked up to work the neckline and the button-band/buttonhole-band.

3 - 6months: 44 cm/17.25” / 9 months: 48 cm/19” / 1 year: 52 cm/20.5” / 18months: 55 cm/21.5” 2 – 3 years: 60 cm/23.5” / 4 - 5 years: 64 cm/25” / 6 – 8 years: 69 cm/27”

Materials
Yarn: I recommend that you use a yarn with great stich-definition! I used Madelinetosh “Tosh Sock”, a fingering weight yarn that comes in skeins of 361 m/395 yards. You will need approximately 300/345/390/440/500/550/650 m = 327/376/425/480/545/600/710 yards using this specific yarn. Yardage might vary depending on which yarn you choose to work. Choose yarn that knits up to gauge. Needles: Choose needle size to obtain gauge. I used needle size 3 mm/US2.5.
Notions: 4 removable stitch-markers, separate holders, buttons 13-15mm/0.5-0.6” across.

Gauge
24 sts and 32 - 34 rows in stockinette (and in lace-pattern) = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”.

All lace is charted, as well as written out row-by-row (round-by-round for the sleeves).
All measurements are in cm’s as well as in inches.
