Fremont Skirt
The simplicity of Walker’s skirt template lends itself to infinite design possibilities and inspired me, for this skirt, to incorporate a branch motif from a dress Grace Kelly wore in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film Rear Window. I created the motif with simple embroidery stitches and sequins and named the piece after Kelly’s character in the film, Lisa Fremont. For an added touch of elegance and finishing, I sewed a piece of black stretch lace to the inside hem edge.
