French 75
Due to changes to EU legislation with regard to Value Added Tax liability from 1st January 2015 I have decided to temporarily suspend pattern sales until it becomes clear what the best option for me will be. I will also be using this opportunity to develop some new patterns, revise layouts, make any amendments and take some new photos. I haven’t set a date for reopening my Ravelry store but it’s unlikely to be before early summer 2015. If you’d like to be notified when I reopen send my a personal message and I’ll add you to a list for earburning when I reopen.
This pattern is named after the classic French 75 cocktail:
20ml Gin
20ml Lemon Juice
10ml Sugar Syrup
Enough Champagne to fill the glass
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Put the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a champagne flute, top up with champagne and add the cherry for garnish.
French 75 uses short rows, beading and ribbing to create an elegant and wearable shawlette.
The pattern uses approximately 9g of size 6/0 (E, 4mm) beads.
