French Coquette Beret
This crochet pattern is very easy to follow, and creates the most beautiful and easy traditional French beret with a lovely feminine and vintage vibe. It’s super beginner friendly, and can be made up in the space of just one or two hours.
This classic French beret features a very feminine shell stitch edging across the border.
For this project you will need:
2 skeins of Drops Muskat in shade 06, or any 100% cotton yarn in a DK/light 3 weight (100g)
A 4 mm crochet hook
A tapestry needle
A pair of scissors
A stitch marker (optional)
This pattern is 7 pages long with plenty of photographs to help along the way. The full length video tutorial is linked in this pattern too.
The finished beret measures 10.5” (27 cm) x 10.5” (27 cm) .
This pattern is written in US terms, with British terms in brackets.
This is a great project for beginners.
