Wow, my first pattern being published!!

French Letter is a totally unisex envelope neck sweater, I’ve designed it for my newborn but also made it for my 8yr old and husband. It doesn’t give you stitch counts but gives you all the construction information, also, being knitted from the top down you can adjust as you got.

The neck line is a bit different to other pattern types, being knitted flat in two pieces before being joined in the round. Sleeves are knitted continuously giving a nice structured finish but allowing the garment to be seamless. This pattern uses a provisional cast on.

The other really important thing about this pattern is that I wanted to design something that is really easy to customise and put your own style into, so I’d love to see any modifications!

This is my first pattern, and any comments would be gratefully recieved.

Oh, and the name, a cheeky pun on the envelope neckline and the fact it was inspired by my bonus baby due in a couple of weeks ;-) I can confirm this pattern has no contraceptive powers at all!
