This is an 1847 pattern.

“This is a very beautiful cushion, simple but effective, and the pattern easy, being merely the brioche stitch knitted purlwise. It is knit with double Berlin wool, six stripes, arranged as follows: - Rich Albert blue, bright scarlet, gold colour, and white, repeated till it is quite square.”
