This easy-to-knit hat is the second in my head-hugging watchcap series (Plain Jack & Jane Watchman’s cap is also available in my Ravelry Store). This pattern features a simple upper -- body and crown -- and a choose-your-adventure style ribbing.

This hat can be knitted in one or two colors, though this one looks best in two to show off the ribbing. There are two ribbings to choose from: Bamboo and Mistake Rib. Both are knitted from the wrong side of the fabric to facilitate easy transition from a fun rib into the body.

This pattern features a written tutorial for custom hat body length-sizing, and there are also links in the pattern to some pom-pom tutorials if you’d like to embellish you cap!
