The Fresh Tracks Beanie pattern is a clean, modern & classy take on the ribbed beanie. It’s a vertical rib that looks like knit, and is so full of texture. The hat is a fitted style, with easy customization to increase or decrease the size. It’s unique in it’s design and construction, and still quite simple.

This pattern is beginner-friendly, but does require some knowledge of basic stitches and pattern reading.

5mm crochet hook
5.5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

YARN
It can be made with one full skein of Malabrigo - Mecha. To increase the size, or fit, you will need another skein. There are some yarn sub suggestions within the pattern, which include The Petite Wool & The Meriwool by We Are Knitters, along with some others.

CUSTOMIZATIONS
Notes are included for adjusting the height, and width of the hat. It’s easily customizable, and with yarn substitutes, may be necessary to meet gauge if you can’t with a different hook size.

CONSTRUCTION
The hat is made flat, then stitched together once it’s complete. The steps are a little unconventional, but quite easy. There are lots of photo instructions to clarify details.

This pattern has been tested for accuracy.
