Freshwater Shawl
This is the first pattern in the Souvenir Skeins collection - inspired by the places we visit, and designed for those special skeins that make their way home with us. Each pattern will use just one or two skeins to make the perfect stash buster for all your most treasured yarns!
Pattern Inspiration:
This pattern was inspired by my visit to the Ichetucknee Springs in northern Florida. The water comes out of the “Blue Hole” from an underground aquifer, and continues into a river, eventually flowing out into the ocean. This journey from a single point to the vastness of the ocean inspired the stitches and shape of this shawl!
Basic Information:
Pattern is in US crochet terms.
Yarn: DK/Light Worsted weight, approximately 470 yards. I used Me & Ewe Yarns Zebra DK for my sample, exclusively available at Kid Ewe Knot!

Gauge: First 7 rows should be 4” long by 1.75” wide (10cm by 4.5cm). Within the pattern, about 18 stitches by 8 rows = 4”. Gauge given is BEFORE blocking.
