Fresno Tank
The Fresno Tank is a light and airy summer top with filet crochet and tie- back details. A sister pattern to the long-sleeved Fresno Top, the Fresno Tank features the same stitch pattern but includes armhole shaping to create the perfect tank fit.
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners as you will only need to know single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch, but it you will need to be familiar with increasing and decreasing and it may be more difficult for someone that has never worked with fingering weight yarn. It is graded for sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). My sample is a size L on a 43in. bust.
MATERIALS:
- 4mm hook (or size needed to meet gauge).
- Approximately 549 (611, 672, 814, 882) (950, 1119, 1194, 1268) yards (158 (176, 193, 234, 253) (273, 322, 343, 364) grams) fingering weight (weight 1) yarn (I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4 in the shade Black).
- Needle for weaving in ends.
DISCLAIMER: This pattern was not tested on sizes 4X or 5X. I would be happy to provide this pattern for free if you’re interested in making this size in exchange for a small amount of feedback!
