Fresno Top
The Fresno Top is a loose-fitting long sleeved top perfect for transitioning between seasons. I made mine with cotton yarn for an airy spring piece, but you can easily swap fibers for something warmer for the chillier months! The sleeves are worked directly onto the body so there is minimal seaming, and the top is finished off by adding chains and slip stitches around the collar to create the ties at the back of the neck.
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners as you will only need to know double crochet and slip stitch, but it may be more difficult for someone that has never worked with fingering weight yarn. It is graded for sizes XS-5X and designed to have 6-8 in. of positive ease. My sample is a size L on a 43in. bust.
Materials:
- 4mm hook (or size needed to meet gauge).
- Approximately 1069 (1178, 1296, 1570, 1701) (1832, 2159, 2303, 2447) yards of fingering weight yarn (I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4 in the shade Rust).
- Needle for weaving in ends.
