Pattern update (layout and a minor pattern change) coming in January 2020 - purchase the pattern now and receive the update automatically.

A vertical ribbed, mini-cable pattern (no cable needle required), suitable for women’s and men’s socks. Knit cuff down using your choice of sock knitting methods: DPNs, Magic Loop, or two circulars.

Some helpful notes:

  • Probably already obvious -- you want a sock with negative ease -- around 1” of negative ease
  • Small is a cast on of 64 stitches which (for me) yields a gauge of 8 st/inch on 2.25mm needles. This results in a sock with an un-stretched circumference of 8” -- if you want a tighter sock, use smaller needle. If you want a looser sock, use a larger needle.
  • Medium is a cast on of 72 stitches and is a 9” circumference using the guidelines above.
  • Check the label on your yarn to see which needle size you should start with in order to get gauge in the pattern.
